This art piece was painted by a beloved, kind hearted local artist, Anna Landry, from Germany, Czech who moved to the US for a better life. She married a soldier who was in the U.S. Air Force, my grandfather R. Landry. She practiced her skill as they moved around for his job in the military. They eventually settled down for a bit in Shreveport La. where Anna entered contests for her ceramics and won more than 23-1st place awards. She sadly passed at the age of 71 due to heart complications. There are only a few handfuls of Anna's collection still in
existence today. These are rather large, and I have 4 different pieces, but same in subject,
so I have to part with them. They've given me many years of joy and I hope someone else
can experience the love Anna put into each piece of art she created as well.
Small, however secret backstory included in Anna's bio along with pics of many, not all of her awards, included with each piece.
