From the 1941 - 1947 period, this brooch features beautiful stones in peridot and amethyst colors. A 14k vermeil gold wash over the sterling adds the finishing touch. The floral motif reflects an earlier times Art Nouveau design.
These large Hobe pins made during the 1940's are hard to find and each was individually made and very unique. This pin is special and few, if any, are available with so many stones intact. It is a little more than 3 1/4 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches high. The silver is a bit tarnished as shown in the photos, but there is no damage of any kind to the piece. It is marked as shown in Photos #2 and #5.
