| First off, this lens does not fit the Canon EOS DSLR or EOS Film SLR cameras. This fits the Canon FD mount which predates the Autofocus cameras. It works on cameras like the AE-1. It will work on modern digital mirrorless cameras with an appropriate adapter, no adapter is included here. This lens is label as "macro" but its maximum magnification is 1:5 which is not true macro range. It is however much closer than the vast majority of 135mm lenses can focus. This lens surprised me with its sharpness, contrast and vivid color. Typically these inexpensive third party lenses are not very good, this one is actually pretty good. The fact that it can focus super close is an added bonus. The lens is further enhanced by its diminutive size. It is slimmer than a Canon New FD 135/3.5 and a bit shorter as well yet offers a half stop faster maximum aperture. It even has a built in metal lens shade. I have a few pics in the gallery made with this exact lens. The lens is in near mint condition with no issues, glass is near perfect if not perfect, cosmetics look fabulous. This is a great lens for the price. |
