Connector: USB-A & USB-C
Mode: Live Boot (offline)
💻 Compatibility & Important Notes
  • Windows: Resets local (on-device) account passwords. Does not work for Microsoft/Online accounts tied to email or Azure AD.
  • Linux: Supports mainstream distributions (Ubuntu, Mint, Fedora, Debian, etc.) for offline password resets and single-user recovery.
  • Secure Boot: May need to be disabled on some systems to boot external media.
  • Hardware: x86_64 PCs that support USB boot. ARM Macs (M1/M2/M3) are not supported.

Pro tip: If the device uses full-disk encryption (BitLocker, LUKS) or a Microsoft online account, password reset may be impossible without recovery keys or credentials.

⚙️ How to Use (Quick Recipes)
  1. Insert the USB and boot the target PC from USB (press F12, Esc, F10, F2, etc.).
  2. From the live environment, choose the appropriate account recovery tool (GUI or CLI).
  3. Locate the target system drive/partition, follow on-screen prompts to reset the local account password or enable an administrative account.
  4. After changes, reboot and test access. If desired, change the password to a strong passphrase and re-secure the device.

Safety first: Always create a full disk image before making account/password changes so you can restore if needed.

🛡️ Warnings & Legal / Ethical Use
  • Use only for lawful purposes — on devices you own or are authorized to service.
  • Do not attempt to access unauthorized systems; doing so may violate laws.
  • We are not responsible for data loss from misuse. Always image drives before modifications.

🔧 Troubleshooting
  • USB not listed in boot menu — try another port or disable Fast Boot.
  • Tool reports encrypted volume — you’ll need the encryption recovery key to proceed.
  • Changes not taking effect — verify you selected and saved changes to the correct partition.
