I believe the wood framing is handmade. 2 pieces of wood back to back. 

This must have been long ago forgotten in someone's basement or garage.  Was covered with dirt when I bought it at an estate sale.  Family had no history or even memory of it.  I have no idea how old it is.

I normally don't polish wood before photos because I don't want to minimize any issues, but this had to be cleaned/polished.
There is wear and a few cracks in the wood visible in pictures.  Plaque itself was a bit dusty but in nice condition.
I would love to know more about this if you are willing to share your knowledge!
