This is a large vintage carved chest. A Burmese, solid teak decorative trunk, dating to the Art Deco period, circa 1930.  

  • Profusely decorated, with wonderfully substantial stocks throughout
  • Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order throughout
  • Solid teak presents rich caramel hues and fine grain interest
  • Protective, removable glass top for use as a distinctive coffee table
  • Stout top with gently rolled edge hosts a striking carved frieze with foliate medallions
