Here we have an attractive small bowl dating to circa 1800. This is decorated with 5 black mocha trees on an orange field with a narrow blue band at the rim. The foot is flat sided with a recessed base. You can see “bluing” around the outside of the foot rim with drying lines in the glaze that don’t go through. Measuring 4 ½” wide at the rim by 2 ½” in height this survives in near mint condition with only a tiny flake on the rim. A similar bowl is shown in Jonathan Rickard’s definitive book “MOCHA and related dipped wares, 1770-1939” on page 53.
