These 88 Packs are from the 1992 Panini Star Trek The Next Generation sticker set.

This set is identical to the 1987 release with the exception that these have a maroon text sticker back and were made primarily for German and Israeli distribution.

The box you see them in is in fact a Panini distribution box with no printing on it.
And yes, I absolutely believe there were originally 100 packs in this box.  I don't know why but there are 88 packs remaining so the price is for 88 packs.
