Gear ratio is 14:1 with a die-cast, two-piece housing for additional strength and precision. The unique bearing surface in the housing provides a rigid string post that enhances the alignment of the gear and worm. The housings are self-lubricating for a lifetime of trouble-free service. Post hole size is 23/64" which is the size used on vintage instruments which would eliminate the need to bore out the post holes to accommodate the modern tuners that use 25/64" holes..
