Staffordshire Disraeli Dog:

• Originally one of a pair
• Manufactured between 1868 and 1880 in Staffordshire, England
• Height: 10 inches (25.5cm)
• Width across base: 7 inches (18cm)
• Press moulded body with small firing hole to back
• Characteristic Disraeli kiss curls to top of head
• Painted back
• Muzzle shows fine brush strokes
• Gold chain and locket have characteristic soft appearance of older dogs
• No casting hole to base though there are signs of glaze frizzle, bumps and pitting 
• Some crazing to glaze on body
• Front separated leg has chip to edge which is slightly noticeable on display - chip extends to unseen bottom of paw (see Pictures 8-10)
• In very good condition overall
• Increasingly hard to find and collectable
