Panasonic Lumix DMC-G10 12.1MP Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera Converted to Infrared 720nm with 8GB SD Card , Shoulder Strap, Battery and Charger.
Good used condition.
Shutter count only 4112 actuations.
IR Cut filter on a sensor is replaced with 720nm IR pass filter. It means that you don't need any filter on a lens to get infrared images and camera will work with standard exposure times as normal camera.
It will work with any MFT lens however some may produce hotspots. I tried with Panasonic 14-42mm, 14-45mm, Olympus 30mm, Olympus 14-150mm and there were no hotspots, but Laowa 7.5mm and Lumix 14mm had some hotspots.
White balance must be set to Custom where you record uniform color card or just grass.
White balance affects final image look.
There is few important steps to do to be able to process images correctly.
1. Create Camera Lens profile in Adobe Lightroom
1.1 Open RAW image in Lightroom and Export it as DNG to known location.
1.2 Open exported DNG file in DNG Profile Editor and set White Balance to -100 in Color Matrices and export profile to Lightroom folder.
1.3. Open Lightroom.
1.4 Import Develop Profiles to Lightroom
1.5 Restart Lightroom
1.6 Open image in Lightroom and select newly created Camera Profile and Apply it.
2. Process image in Photoshop
2.1 Swap Red and Blue Channels
2.2 Create Hue/Saturation Adjustment layer and adjust Hue to Blue
2.3 Open Camera RAW Filter and adjust Hue, Saturation and Luminescence for separate colors in Color Mixer.
It is creative process but very pleasing.
Take images in a bright sunshine with blue sky to get best results.
Don't expect to have beautiful images straight out of the camera- a lot of creative post processing required :) . Don't be afraid to break the rules :)
P.S. It is very addictive- don't say that I did not warn you :)
