Freeze Dried Meal Complements - Bulk Meat Pack

Back Country Cuisine Meal Complements are a range of convenient, lightweight foods for the outdoor adventurer. Each meal complement can be used to extend Back Country Cuisine complete meals, or to create your own outdoor meal. These bulk freeze dried meat packs allow you to minimize packaging and maximize packing space. The larger size packs make it simpler to cater for large groups or longer adventures

Meal Complements use the finest ingredients and are processed to ensure quick, convenient preparation. Now you can add premium Beef Mince, Beef Dices or Chicken Dices to any outdoor camp meal without having to worry about refrigeration or freezing meat when off-grid camping. These larger packs are also ideal for disaster or emergency preparedness. 

In the freeze drying process, crystals of frozen ice in the food are sublimed (evaporated) to water vapour in a vacuum chamber. The result is a completely dry product that does not shrink during the drying process. When prepared for eating, the water quickly gets into the pores left by the ice crystals to give a juicy, tender food product.

After packing, the food is heat-sealed in foil pouches from which all the air has been removed and replaced with nitrogen gas. This keeps the food safe and full of flavour for at least four years from date of manufacture without the need for preservatives.
 

Bulk Freeze Dried Beef Mince:

Pack Size: Net 640g
Rehydration Requirements: Add contents to appropriate container. Add 1.75L of boiling water (or 275ml per 100g of meat). Stir and stand for 10-15 minutes. Beef Mince can be added during preparation of pasta and rice dishes by including an additional 1/2cup of water for each cup of Freeze Dried Beef Mince.

Bulk Freeze Dried Chicken Dices:

Pack Size: Net 640g
Rehydration Requirements: Add contents to appropriate container. Add 1.35L of boiling water (or 200ml per 100g of dried chicken dices). Stir and stand for 10-15 minutes. Once rehydrated chicken dices can be added during preparation of pasta and rice dishes.
