Product Description

The Turbosmart TS-0604-1155 vIWG Wastegate Actuator is designed for the Mini Cooper S and John Cooper Works (R56 chassis) equipped with the 1.6 L Prince series turbo engine. By increasing the diaphragm surface area and improving spring leverage, this actuator accelerates boost build-up, extends boost retention and enhances throttle responsiveness over the factory unit.

Installation is straightforward for OEM turbocharger systems, offering direct-fit replacement mounting. While tuning isn’t strictly required for stock setups, it is highly recommended especially for higher-boost or modified engine configurations. This part is best suited for motorsport or performance environments where precision boost control is critical--note that it is not CARB-legal for street use in regions requiring emissions certification.
