Relay knowledge popularization:
Relay is generally composed of iron core, coil, armature, contacts and so on. As long as a certain voltage is added to both ends of the coil, a certain current will flow in the coil, resulting in an electromagnetic effect, and the armature will overcome the return spring's pull to the iron core under the action of electromagnetic attraction, thus driving the armature's movable contacts and static contacts (normally open contacts) suction. Relay main product technical parameters
1、Rated working voltage
It refers to the voltage required by the coil when the relay works normally. Depending on the model of the relay, it can be AC voltage or DC voltage.
2、DC resistance
It refers to the DC resistance of the coil in the relay, which can be measured by a multimeter.
3、Suction current
It refers to the small current that the relay can produce the suction action. In normal use, the given current must be slightly larger than the suction current, so that the relay can work stably. As for the working voltage added to the coil, generally do not exceed 1.5 times the rated working voltage, otherwise it will produce a large current and burn the coil.
4、Release current
It refers to the large current that the relay generates to release the action. When the current of the suction state of the relay is reduced to a certain degree, the relay will return to the unenergized release state. The current at this time is much smaller than the absorption current.
5、Contact switching voltage and current
It is the voltage and current that the relay is allowed to load. It determines the size of the voltage and current that the relay can control, and it can not exceed this value when used, or it will easily damage the contacts of the relay.
Relay model selection:
Select the appropriate model according to the power supply voltage and trigger signal voltage. For example, if you use 5V microcontroller to control, you should choose 5V relay module; if you use 3.3V microcontroller to control, you should choose 3.3V relay module.

VCC: System power positive
GND: negative terminal of system power supply
COM(x) is the common terminal of the xth relay, NC(x) is the normally closed terminal of the xth relay, NO(x) is the normally open terminal of the xth relay.
The power supply voltage must be consistent with the relay voltage! For example, if you choose 12V relay, the voltage must also be 12V±5%, a little higher or a little lower can be, but with 5V voltage can not drive 12V relay, with 24V power supply will directly burn off the relay!
