The Audio Follow Video Preamp (AFVP) enhances the SmartPanel or Networked Room Controller (NRC), adding a stereo 5x1 audio switcher and pre-amplifier. It also provides volume control through attenuation. An additional balanced line input allows mixing sources in after the volume control, such as a wireless mic or microphone mixer/preamp. The installer can individually tailor the five stereo inputs with up to 10dB of gain, as well as bass and treble adjustments. The smart stereo output circuitry automatically compensates for balanced or unbalanced systems and may be configured for mono operation if required. The SP3-AFVP+ also features video switching capabilities that can be configured as a 4 x 1 composite video or a 2 x 1 s-video switcher. The presenter always has seamless control over sight and sound.

The SP3-AFVP+ includes bus connectivity, which allows all SP3 devices to be located thousands of feet apart. The SP3-AFVP+ may be operated by other control systems via RS-232 and is compatible with earlier SP2 products. External audio solutions provide superior quality compared to a projector's built-in speakers. The SP3-AFVP+ should be used wherever installations require a powered audio system such as an external amplifier and speakers, or self powered speakers. Using the latest components and poly-silicon resistor networks in the signal path, the AFVP achieves low noise and distortion and outstanding audio performance. When used with the Networked Room Controller, the AFVP requires a power supply (SP2-PS) and RS-232 cable (PX2-AFVP/RS232 Cable) provided at no additional charge.
