Offered here for 1 price is a collection of 6 unused Real Photo Post Cards from the 1933 LONG BEACH EARTHQUAKE by Austin Studios of Long Beach & Winstead Photographer. Post Cards are 3 1/2" X 5 1/4" and 5 are numbered with credit to the photographer. The photos depict images shortly after the Long Beach Earthquake of March 10, 1933. A 6.4 seismic event that occurred at 5:54 p.m. on Friday evening. Approximately 120 people were killed but everyone agreed that if the earthquake would have occurred a few hours earlier the death toll would have been much higher. All images are clear although post cards are slightly curled.
