This is an envelope signed by Tommy Cook
(born July 5, 1930), an American actor,
screenwriter, and producer.
Cook came up with the story for the 1977
disaster-suspense film Rollercoaster, and
also contributed to the script of the 1979
movie Players, starring Ali MacGraw.
Cook started his career on radio. He played
Little Beaver on the radio series Red Ryder.
He also played Alexander on Blondie and
Junior on The Life of Riley. Cook had a
starring role in the 1950 American drama film
The Vicious Years. Among other roles, Cook
played a villainous tribesboy opposite Johnny
Weissmuller in Tarzan and the Leopard Woman,
and a native boy in the serial Jungle Girl.
Cook voiced Augie Anderson on Hanna-Barbera's
animated series The Funky Phantom. Cook also
voiced Biff on Jabberjaw, another Hanna-Barbera
cartoon series. He also voiced Kid Flash on The
Superman/Aquaman Hour of Adventure.
Cook later made guest appearances on Better Things
and Space Force.
This is a first day of issue (FDC) stamped envelope,
honoring the 19th century Buffalo soldiers.
