Knitting Pattern to make a sleeveless hooded gilet with co-ordinating knee length dungarees .
Knit this cute set ready for the holidays.
The gilet is knitted in one piece from the bottom up in one complete piece, starting at the front hem and ending at the hood top. The only stitching is on the hood seams. The short dungarees are also easy to knit, I try to design my patterns to be quick and easy to knit so this is not a complicated process; little ones don't want to wait for their dolls new outfits!
Knitted in double knitting wool on 4.00 mm straight needles. Relatively easy pattern for a beginner or an experienced knitter. I've made the pattern as clear and easy as possible just in case any knitters feel unsure.
Uses approx 40 grams double knitting wool for the gilet, and approx 25 grams for the dungarees. An ideal project for using wool from your stash.
Tension 22 sts and 30 rows to 4" square. Uses number 4.00 mm needles, (6 USA).
18"/19" will fit Gotz, Design-a-Friend, American Girl, New Sindy.
Easy to put on and take off. Just right for imaginitive play for your little one.

My Grand daughter loves her 18"Girl Doll but she finds the fabric clothes cost too much to buy from her pocket money, (and difficult for little fingers to put on and take off!), so she asked her 'Knitting Nanny Mo' to design and knit some for her. This outfit was as usual inspired by my grand daughter. She recently asked me if her dolls could have a new outfit for the beach so here it is. I hope you enjoy knitting this outfit as much as I did.
