This antique white Minton Soup Tureen boasts a domed lid topped with an artichoke shaped handle an intricate allover blue ribbon wreath design. The rare 1850’s tureen adds an elegance and charm to any dining setting.  It is an impressive piece for serving soups, stews, or other dishes.  From handle to handle the tureen measures approximately 12-3/4” in diameter.  With the top on it measures approximately 10” and without the top the tureen it measures 6-1/2”.  The under-plate measures approximately 14-3/4” x 1-1/2”.  The back stamp reads Ribbon Wreath and contains Minton marks.  The ladle shown is not matching, but a blue and white ladle I had on hand which I will include.  This is considered to be in excellent antique condition with normal wear commensurate with age which includes minor manufacturing imperfections.
