This variety does not have so sweet, but nutty tasting seeds. This rare poppy is used like gray and blue poppy seeds while baking instead of nuts. Its nutty poppy flavour makes pastries a special taste. This variety is preferred especially in Indian cuisine. From February, the poppy seeds can be sown. Seeds must not be covered with soil, because they germinate in light. Their white flowers appear in June.
