Giant - Sunflower Sky Scraper

Latin name: Helianthus annuus cv. Sky Scraper

This is one of the largest sunflower varieties.

It produces thick-bodied 3.5-4 m (11-13 ft) tall plants which produce pale yellow flower heads with a diameter of up to 30 cm (12 in). A real highlight for any larger garden.
The large seeds that are ripe in the late summer can be eaten raw or roasted - or the plants are allowed to stand in the garden to lure birds into the garden in the early winter.
