25* YEAR BATTERY LIFE
Using the most powerful, leak-free, voltage-correct Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries, offering up to x18 more power than a standard AirTag battery which typically lasts 12-18 months, means this unit should last for 18-27 years or more. AirTag battery life is affected by many factors, which could mean the battery lasts longer or shorter. Battery life depends on factors outside of our control, although we would expect a minimum of 10-15 years. At some point in years to come, the AirTag will alert you to a low battery warning. However, unlike a regular AirTag, that low warning will come with up to x18 more life left than a standard AirTag battery, which means should your item go missing just when the battery is getting flat, you should still have plenty of time to find it. When your AirTag alerts you to change the batteries, the unit is designed for them to be easily replaced, just like any other electronic gadget. Use dental floss to cut through the double-sided tape on the back of the unit, unscrew the base plate and replace the batteries with like-for-like units. Battery life depends on usage and operating conditions.
SILENT OPERATION
As part of adding the battery to the AirTag we removed the internal speaker, so that the AirTag is unable to make any sound, this way 25TAG will never inadvertantly annouce where it is and can only easily be found by the connected FindMy app.
IP69 WEATHER RESISTANT PROTECTIVE CASE
The heavy duty weather-resistant case is designed to blend in with other equipment and protect the unit from the elements. The case has a seamless face and is sealed flush from behind with 4 small hex screws on its tight-fitting lid making it tamper proof. Once the battery isolating pull tab has been removed and the AirTag paired with your iPhone, the screws on the base of the case will need to be carefully tightened so there is no play in the case. Gently press the four corners of the rear plate to ensure there is no play on the screws, and tighten as required. For the longest life, always try to install the unit away from areas of water, humidity and extremes of hot and cold. We recommend that the unit be secured to a dry flat surface. For the longest life please ensure the unit is located away from water and the extremes of temperature and humidity. Whilst IP69 is one of the highest levels of protection, in order to last the longest time, the unit should NOT be located where it might become submerged, in the ground or near water.
DIMENSIONS
Measuring roughly 4.5" 11cms long, 1.5" 3.5cms wide, and 0.75" 2cms thick, this unit is tiny and can blend in the most discrete locations. Weight 100 grams
SETUP AND RESETTING
AirTags require pairing with your Apple account using Apple's built-in 'Find my' app. Setup just like any other AirTag, except this one will not make any sounds. Please use Apple's online instructions for more details. When you are ready to start using the AirTag have your iPhone next to it with Bluetooth on, remove the battery pull tab from the case and it should begin to pair and setup, if it does not then give the unit a tap to wake it up. Once setup make sure the base screws are screwed down to create a tight seal on the back of the unit. Two are left loose so that you can remove the battery tab. If you need to reset the AirTag to pair with a different account, have both devices near the unit and just remove it from your decive and it will automatically search for another Apple device to pair with.
