1/2" Tap Re-Seater

The Haron PTRS12 Tap Reseater is designed to re-seat both interior and exterior 1/2" taps (12.7mm) Tap Reseater 1/2″

For Reconditioning Tap Seats

1 Remove and dress fittings and handles.

2 Use the appropriate HARRON tap spanner to remove spindle.

3 Remover the washer.

4 Insert the Tap Re-Seater into the body and screw the bush home into the body thread.

5 Holding the knob at the top of the tool, with light downward pressure, turn the knob clockwise so that the cutter removes a small amount of the seat. Be sure the cutter does this without chatter. Five or Six complete rotations is normally adequate.

6 Examine the seat to make sure that it is re-cut smoothly. A torch maybe useful to examine the seat.

7 Replace the tap assembly after fitting a new washer.
