This is "The Sleepy King" by Aubrey Hopwood and Seymour Hicks, in an undated edition (inscription is dated 1912 and some of the illustrations are dated 1898, so somewhere around the turn into the 20th century) published by A.L. Burt. This edition features a charming story for children, copiously illustrated with line drawings by Maud Trelawny and color plates by Anne Merriman Peck. Condition of this book is Very Good Plus, showing minimal shelfwear, with the front cover paste-down bright and clean, but showing a chip at the upper left corner. There is a gift inscription on the RFEP, but other wise no writing or other marks. Please see my other vintage children's books.
