This book deals with the stuff of Highland history: clan feuds, battles, assassinations, murder and kidnapping. it also deals with the history of the region as it was written by externl influences imposing themselves on the fabric of Highland life, as evidenced by the Glencoe massacre, the aftermath of the Forty-five and the infamous Highland Clearances. Some mysteries, solved and unsolved, are also included here, such as the kidnapping of Lady Grange and the part played by the supernatural in bringing miscreants to a well-earned justice.
