Instructions

Always fit the tape in a closed space (garage).

Avoid any draughts or wind from open doors/windows this can cause debits on the adhesive.

Ideal tape application temperature range is 21

ºC - 35ºC

Application temperatures below 10ºC is not recommended because the adhesive becomes firm.

Clean the surface and remove all wax - polish - oils - dirt etc.

Make sure all debits - dust - hairs - bits - fluff etc are removed just before fitting the tape.

Roughly cut the tape to the size required.

The tape has a backing layer to protect the adhesive, just flick it off and peel from a corner.

Due to atmospheric conditions the vinyl can expand/shrink, this can cause the backing to wrinkle this does not effect the vinyl.

Start with small pieces first to get the hang of fitting the tape, if you can't do it I will refund unused tape that is sent back.

The tape can be easily formed / stretched around tight curves using a heat gun.

The adhesive is heat and pressure sensitive so the more you heat and press down the tape the better it will stick.

The tape is easily applied either dry for small pieces or with a mix of water & 5% fairy liquid for very large pieces.

For small pieces pull the backing layer off and 'roll' the tape down into position, making sure you avoid trapping air bubbles under the tape.

For much larger pieces spray the item you are taping, remove the adhesive backing layer and spray the adhesive.

You can slide the tape around as long as you have sprayed enough liquid on the adhesive side of the tape.

When the tape is in the correct position you can squeegee the liquid from under the tape removing all the air bubbles.

The tape will now be stuck into position.

The tape should not be applied to new paint, defective, damaged, unsound surfaces or to surfaces which

may subsequently crack, peel, outgas or are of low surface energy.

It is recommended that any application surface should have an energy level in excess of 40 dyne/cm.

It is recommended that no harsh solvents are used to clean the tape.

Specific techniques must be used when applying the tape.

It is the responsibility of the applicator to ensure that the substrate is suitable for the application of tape

and it is in a fit condition for the application and removal.

ParagonTapes do not accept any liability for paint failures incurred during the application or removal.

These instructions won't be supplied printed to save paper and resources you can copy/paste/print if required.

Tips
Don't apply in cold conditions, let the tape & item warm up before fitting and remove any condensation
Don't try to fit large pieces until you get the hang of applying smaller pieces first.
Don't try to fit complex curves and shapes until you can apply easier pieces first.
Don't expect too much from one piece - Use multiple smaller pieces rarer than one big piece.
Using a heat-gun will enable the tape to be stretched round complex curves.
Apply the tape bit by bit - heating & laying the tape down as you go.

Don't leave small 'lip edges' of tape bent over edges, you need at least 10mm over the edge for the adhesive to stick.

If you do the above it will stay stuck for years without issue - over 20,000 have done it OK as feedback shows

If you fail to prepare and rush in, it will not work as well and look like a bodge job.This is not the fault of the tape.

POSTAGE & DISPATCH - After payment the items are normally dispatched the same day or next business day depending on the time of the purchase. Your item will be sent by Royal Mail and is free in the UK via 2nd class post, this normally takes 3-5 working days, but can up to 10 business days for it to arrive. 1st class post is an option if you need it faster this normally takes 1-2 working days. Items will be posted on weekdays (Mon-Fri). Postage is not available on weekends or bank holidays. Buyers must provide the correct PayPal confirmed delivery address. Any changes to the address after the checkout process will not be considered as valid so make sure your address is correct and up to date.

Items lost in the post - Royal Mail only declare items are lost after 15 working days. Refunds and replacements will only be issued after 15 days and confirmation that the item has not been delivered. A compensation claim to Royal Mail will be made following confirmation of a lost item. Fraudulent claims will be prosecuted by Royal Mail.

RETURNS - For all refunds please email us first. Refunds will only be given for unused & returned items.

Changed your mind - Requirements for these returns are:- Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give consumer buyers the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days. You need to message us to confirm you wish to cancel within this 14 day timeframe. Items must be returned back to us within 30 days of purchase. The item must be returned at the buyers expense in original unused condition with the original packaging. The item must NOT be used, worn or damaged, and must be in new condition when received back to us. The item must be securely packed to ensure it is received back in re-sale-able condition. Failure to do so may affect the refund offered. Returns are still available outside this timeframe but buyers will be charged for the costs incurred at the point of sale, these include eBay seller fee and P&P costs.

Faulty item or Damaged in the post items - If you wish to return a faulty or Damaged item, please email us first. Photos may be requested in this return process. The return cost of faulty or damaged items will be meet by us. If you fail to follow the instructions & tips, it will not work out well. Air bubbles under the tape, creases in the tape & lifting edges are examples of bad application methods. This is not the fault of the product and no refunds will be given for bad application. Over 20,000 have applied without issue so shows it is easy to do as the feedback indicates. Start with small pieces first to get the hang of fitting the tape, if you can't do it we will refund unused part pieces of tape that is sent back. If you wish to return part of your item please email us first. The item must be securely packed to ensure it is received back in re-sale-able condition, the item must be returned at the buyers expense.
