This small painting shows a market scene at The Big Market in Newcastle upon Tyne. It is signed to the bottom left with some more written information on the reverse.

Peter McPartin is from Whitley Bay, Tyne and Wear and has been painting most of his adult life. He is greatly influenced by the pitmen artists and L S Lowry.
