Michigan Motorsports Stage 3 LS Truck Camshaft Kit

The Michigan Motorsports Stage 3 Truck Camshaft is a great choice when you are ready to step up to an aftermarket torque converter, but still want a camshaft that will be suitable for a daily driver. The Stage 3 will make about 10hp more than the Stage 2 grind and have a much more noticeable/choppy idle sound to it. A 2600+rpm stall converter is recommended for 5.3L/6.0L applications, and a 2800+rpm stall for 4.8L trucks.  

Michigan Motorsports' truck camshaft lobe profiles were designed to be compatible with LS6 style beehive valve springs which reuse the factory retainers and locks. This makes for a budget-friendly combination, and the mild spring pressures combined with these lobe profiles is also easy on valvetrain parts, making them ideal for vehicles that rack up a lot of street miles.

Springs: Michigan Motorsports LS6 Beehive Valve Springs (reuses your factory retainers and locks)

Valve Seals: "Tophat" valve seals with integrated spring locator seat

Gasket Kit: Timing cover gasket, Water Pump Gaskets, front Crankshaft Seal, Crankshaft Balancer Bolt

Please note:

  • VVT engines will require a VVT delete kit
  • If installing in an engine originally equipped with a 1-bolt camshaft, a 3 bolt conversion kit will be required
  • Engines equipped with DOD/AFM systems will require a conversion to conventional lifters
  • Due to their valve weight, our .645" Dual Spring Kit or PAC 1218 springs are recommended for 2007-later 6.0L and 6.2L engines with rectangle/square port heads
