The Stage 1 Michigan Motorsports Truck Camshaft offers increased Torque and HP across the entire RPM band while keeping driving characteristics similar to the OEM cam. It will have a very slight lope at idle with an aftermarket exhaust particularly in 4.8L/5.3L engines, but with a stock exhaust it will sound close to OEM. Customers often choose this cam for their toy haulers or Trucks/SUV's that are looking for the HP/TQ gains of a mild cam without sacrificing drivability or low end torque. This camshaft works well with the stock torque converter.

Michigan Motorsports' truck camshaft lobe profiles were designed to be compatible with LS6 style beehive valve springs which reuse the factory retainers and locks. This makes for a budget-friendly combination, and the mild spring pressures combined with these lobe profiles is also easy on valvetrain parts, making them ideal for vehicles that rack up a lot of street miles. 

The Stage 1 grind is a popular choice for those looking to delete DOD/AFM.

Please note:

• VVT engines will require a VVT delete kit
• If installing in an engine originally equipped with a 1-bolt camshaft, a 3 bolt conversion kit will be required
• Engines equipped with DOD/AFM systems will require a conversion to conventional lifters
• Due to their valve weight, our .645" Dual Spring Kit or PAC 1218 springs are recommended for 2007-later 6.0L and 6.2L engines with rectangle/square port heads
