Plus, the residual heat indicator also helps to tell when it is safe to touch the cooktop after turning the hot plates off, and a child safety lock prevents accidental use. Better still, the cooktop will turn itself off when temperatures get excessively high, or you simply forget to turn it off after your cooking.
