Woven tapestry based on German artist Carl Spitzweg’s (1808 - 1885) painting, “A Pharmacist in Love” (“Der Verliebte Provisor,” 1878). Tapestry was produced by Luka of Germany. Age of the tapestry is unknown. Tapestry measures approximately 22 7/8" x 23 1/2" not including the top loops; tapestry measures approximately 25 1/2" x 23 1/2" if they are included. Tapestry is made of 80% cotton and 20% viscose. Fabric colors are bright and rich. Tapestry has a taupe-colored fabric backing. Estate sale find.

Tapestry appears to be in very good used condition with some loose threads, and spots primarily on the back. There are a couple areas on the front of the tapestry that possibly have small spots, stains, or discoloration, but it’s very difficult to tell; they may be part of the picture.

Please review photos carefully, as they constitute part of the description. Item is offered “as is.” Wood dowel is not included. Tapestry will be gently rolled and shipped in a box. Please contact me if you have any questions or if you would like additional photos. Thank you for your interest in this item.

Please note: If possible, I will combine shipping if multiple items are purchased. If you purchase more than one item, please wait to receive a combined shipping invoice before paying to help facilitate this process. Thank you.
