This USB connection kit is easy to install using 2 hex screws (included). It comes in our company packaging (the foam lined box in the listing pictures). If you'd prefer the original packaging we might have it, just reach out and let us know.
This listing is for the USB version of this upgrade kit. It connects to the PC by USB and is powered by USB (2.0 or higher). If you'd like to use a USB 1 port, let us know and we'll send you a complimentary supplemental power adapter. Other versions of this kit can allow your reader to connect via Ethernet, Bluetooth, or WiFi, we also stock them.
This communication module can be used with any DM8000 model except for DM 8600V Verifiers and DM8700 readers. Those models need a special type of USB module.

If your reader is already configured, installing this USB module won't require any additional setup. Just screw it in and continue using your reader. If you're purchasing this to install a Dataman for the first time, we'd be happy to help you install and configure using TeamViewer after purchase if you like.
