With 20mm x 1.5 mm pitch threads. This next section is very important so please READ it carefully.

Please DO NOT BUY THIS TAP WITHOUT READING BELOW. DO NOT ASSUME THAT THIS TAP FITS YOUR TANK.

Sourcing the correct non original fuel tap for some Honda bikes is very difficult. Honda used several different thread sizes and rates. Even changing mid year and with USA and F2 versions being different.

So to avoid any errors we would like you to check your thread rate BEFORE you buy a tap from us. Obtain help if needed please.

We sell thousands of taps and usually they don't need all of this attention!

This tap has a 20mm thread and a thread pitch of 1.5 mm

That means that the outside diameter of the thread on the tank stub is 20mm and the threads are spaced 1.5 mm apart. See our images please.

We have found that most of the four cylinder bikes used a finer thread than this with a pitch of 1.0 mm

WE SELL TAPS FOR THOSE TOO.

Because we look at petrol tap threads all day we can see the difference but it's not easy so please do this to determine your thread pitch..

1) Using a steel rule or vernier calipers, first measure the width of the tank stub to check that it's 20mm. Do not measure inside your tap thread.

2) Then hold your steel rule up to your tank stub and over a distance of 12mm count the number of crests or peaks that you can see on the threads...

If you can see 8 threads .... Hurry up and buy this tap, they are in very very short supply 😁

OK so this tap is not original Honda but it is a much cheaper alternative than trying to get an original one. They're just not available anywhere. Trying to seal an old tap with a new seal kit is time consuming and disappointing if it doesn't work - which it very often doesn't

These taps are very well made with very good casting material and tolerances, they are not made from 'monkey metal' like lots of other cheap taps are. We have bought them!... and binned them!

This will be a direct fit on your bike but you may want to renew your fuel pipe.

Connection to fuel line: 6 mm internal diameter fuel pipe.
