Boulder Opal is a unique and beautiful opal found in Queensland, Australia. It is a mixture of ironstone and opal either in a matrix or layered. The primary body color of boulder opal is usually a dull brown, gray or black.


Boulder opal can exhibit a range of colors as a result of its distinct play of color. Every stone is unique and they are the most affordable opal available.
