This is an item that I made, back in the 80's, from materials I purchased at a local craft store.  It has been stored and never used.  This wooden decoration measures 9.25" x 8.125".  It is made from a basket top which I painted pink.  I used a hot glue gun to attach the wooden items, the ribbon around the outside rim, the lace on the inside/top rim and the decorative lace and ribbon bow at the bottom. 

At the top of this decoration is a pair of faceless Amish children with a pink heart between them.  The boy is dressed in blue jeans, a cream-colored shirt, brown shoes, and a brown hat with a black band.  The girl is dressed in a red dress with cream polka dots, a cream-colored bonnet with a red band, and brown shoes.  The heart that is resting between their feet is pink with cream polka dots.  Below the couple is a red heart with cream-colored polka dots.  On the heart, a wooden pink "LOVE" has been attached.  The "O" looks like 2 hands making a heart shape.

The ribbon I used to rim the outside of the basket top is red with a lace overlay.  This ribbon coordinates with the bow at the bottom.  The white lace I used on the inside and top of the rim coordinates with the lace I put on the sides of the bow at the bottom of the decoration.

This item would make a wonderful decoration for a classroom, office, or household to be displayed around Valentine's Day!  I am hoping to find it a good home.
