A section of the scarf accidentally ripped off, so I repaired it with transparent tape. Since the item is laminated, the tape blends in quite well. As this item will be up at the top of a bulletin board, it really shouldn't be too noticeable. There are a few subtle creases and some staple marks on this item, since it was attached to a bulletin board. The staple marks can be seen much more from the back than the front. The crease down through the bear' face is due to how this large piece was initially packaged. I have enclosed closeup photos of the repaired portion of the scarf, a sample of staple marks, and any creases.
This item was made by Creative Teaching Press and has a copyright date of 1985. It measures 19.5" x 31". It is called a "peek over", because the bear can be placed at the top of the bulletin board, so he appears to be peeking over. If you look at my first photo, I used the bottom piece of white, foam, core board as if it were a bulletin board, so you could see the effect.
This decoration features a smiling, fuzzy, brown bear face with a tan muzzle, dark brown eyes and nose, and pink tongue and inside of ears. He is wearing a fringed red scarf with a pattern of blue, green, and red stripes. The bear's mittens are yellow with blue, ribbed cuffs.
This item is rare and very hard to find! I have not seen any others currently selling online.
This bulletin board set would make a wonderful addition to a primary classroom to be displayed during the winter season! It could also be used to decorate an office or a household! I am hoping to find this item a good home.
