Photograph Notes: Chapel Lane runs from Castle Street to Berry Street [[1125562]]. Is one of the older streets in central Belfast and was the site of St Marys - the first Roman Catholic church in Belfast in 1788. The present St Marys (the red building on the left) dates from 1868/9 to a design by John ONeill. The street lost much of its character with the building of the Castle Court (background).
