Three volumes. Original 1/2 brown leather with cloth. Volumes measure 12.5x10 inches. Shakespeare's image in gilt on front; "The Works of Shakespeare" in gilt on the spines along with  type of play in the volume, and devices. Good condition overall, with several very minor defects internally.  The Tragedies volume has some binding separation. Bumping on all spine corners and some abrasion on covers. The contents are bright, crisp and fresh. This edition was edited by Mary Cowden Clark, assisted by her husband Charles, making this the first edition of Shakespeare to have been wholly or largely edited by a woman. Large heavy volumes - 25 lbs - will require robust packaging. See photos for details or feel free to request additional photos or info. I am not a dealer - these volumes came from my late grandfather's collection.
