This item consists of one Denso (OEM) camshaft position sensor that will fit the models and years listed in the compatibility table above:
The camshaft position (CMP) sensor monitors the position of the camshaft. The camshaft position sensor's output is used with the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor's data to determine when cylinder number 1 is on its compression stroke. This information is used for control of the fuel injection and direct ignition. This is a hall effect sensor and has been tested to verify its functionality.
