Genesis Coupe 10-16 Gauge Pod Driver Dash Vent
Looking to upgrade your Genesis Coupe? This custom 3D printed part mounts in the driver hvac vent to run a 52mm gauge.This replaces the front part of the vent and still allows air flow. The pod is angled at the driver for easy viewing. No cutting or drilling is required for gauge pod installation. This will work on any 10-16 Genesis Coupe it won’t work on any other car.
This is a raw 3D printed part you will see small lines leftover from manufacturing. My equipment and material produce a part that looks like a factory piece. I prefer the 3D printed look but the part can be sanded and painted to your preference.
Installation is simple and requires basic hand tools. Remove the vent by just pulling it out. If it doesn't come out easily, use trim removal tools. Remove the front trim around the vent by prying back the tabs around the vent. Careful when bending the tabs they can break easily. The front fins are replaced with the pod design. The pod only fits in one way so if it's not fitting correctly rotate it 180. Depending on the depth of your gauge the fins behind the front fins may also need to be removed also.
I designed this with a 52.5mm hole for the gauge. Not all gauges are 52mm be sure to test fit your gauge DO NOT JUST PRESS IT IN. If you feel heavy resistance inserting the gauge, the design will need sanding or you have a gauge larger than 52mm. My gauge pod designs are meant to fit snugly so you don't have any rattles or noises. Inexpensive gauges are either larger or smaller than 52mm. If your gauge is loose add a layer of tape until it fits.
