I’ve been selling estate cleanout items on eBay since this site started back in the late 1990’s. I’m not a comic book pro, but I have Google to ask about things, I buy boards + bags, pack with packing materials like cardboard + bubble wrap, and ship in sturdy boxes.

Up for sale here is Secret Agent #9 Dick Giordano Cover Art. First re-titled issue of the former title Sarge Steel. Published by Charlton Comics but now the character is in the DC Universe. He appeared in the animated film Batman and Harley Quinn. Sarge Steel first appeared around the time Iron Man did, but back then Iron Man was just a regular guy in a mechanical suit and Sarge actually was part metal (his hand)! The pictures posted are of the actual, exact item that you’ll receive from me. This isn’t meant to be OCD exhaustive, but here’s some of my condition-observations:

Cover: Has gloss/sheen to it when tilted at an angle in the light. Not sun-faded.

Folds/Creases: Has indents and creases with some color losses.

Spine: Has stresses or ticks with some color breaks.

Corners: Some corner(s) blunting.

Discoloration: Possibly early stages / tanning.

Tightness: Feels good at center and a bit loose when first opening it.

Coupons: Intact book with no coupons cut out.

Seller Notes: Stains.

Please deduce your own grading estimate from: what I’ve noted above, looking over the pictures carefully, and having me answer any questions to your satisfaction before bidding. I’m honest. There should be no reason for buyer remorse here. All buyers have the eBay Money Back Guarantee as their safety net.

I don’t grade comic books because I’d like to avoid the problems that other sellers have. Maybe they did over-grade, maybe they didn’t. It’s he said, she said. That’s exactly why CGC exists. People who require 'written in stone' should consider buying CGC graded / slabbed comics. There's nothing to fight over with them, except between bidders willing to pay crazy numbers.

All I can do for people is try to help by replying to any questions they may have. Also, flaws can be fixed on a comic for an "affordable" price by an outfit like Hero Restoration, and they can even send it to CGC afterwards for you on their account if you want.
