These are used on the 8th Gen Civics (06-11) and the 3rd Gen CR-V. On the Civic, the clips are used to attach the large rear plastic trim that covers the boot lid. On the CR-V they are used to attach the garnish trim that covers the boot / tailgate handle on the exterior of the car.
