This is a high precision mechanically adjustable IR 1.342 laser beam expander custom built by Photon Gear for ESI. The middle 2 optics are connected to knobs underneath the base plate that can be individually moved to adjust laser focal point and beam expansion ratio from 1X to 5.2X.  Knobs can be coupled to computer controlled linear actuators (not included) to achieve optical servo control.  Input aperture is 10mm. output aperture is 20mm wide.

These parts came direct from OEM surplus or spare inventory and have been sitting on shelves for most of their lifetime. They were not extracted from field equipment.
