Payment

Full payment must be completed before goods are dispatched. Payment is handled via Ebay Managed Payments system. We now longer accept cheques, postal orders or cash.

Returns

Under The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (commonly and previously known as `distance selling regulations`), goods purchased in the getpaddedup Ebay store may be returned within 28 working days following receipt of the item(s), provided that they are returned in the original packaging and in the same condition. Personalised, customised, made-to-order or any other product where an adjustment has been made are excluded and cannot be returned. The customer will be responsible for the return postage costs except in the case of faulty items. See 'Returns' tab for how to process your return.

Exchanges

If your item does not fit, we will happily exchange for a change of size. Simply send an ebay message detailing the exchange required, then send as per the returns address as per the packing slip. We will advise of any additional shipping charges for the dispatch of the replacement.

Picking Errors

We accept full responsibility for the wrong goods in the event of a picking error; please advise us by ebay messaging and we will arrange for the dispatch of the correct item and provide a returns label for the wrong items return.

Order Acceptance

Acceptance of your order (and the products within the order) and the completion of the contract between the customer and GET PADDEDUP takes place when GET PADDED UP indicates, by email, that your order has been dispatched. The acceptance will be considered complete and to have been effectively communicated to the customer, whether or not the email is received. On most occasions, payment may be taken before this point but acceptance of the order is not confirmed until the above procedure is complete. In the event that we have to cancel your order, your payment will be refunded immediately.

Remote UK Locations

For some products, a remote location charge may apply. Ebay is unable to apply this charge automatically at the checkout and we may advise of a delivery charge excess to any of the postcodes below. This very unlikely in the case of small items as these are sent by Royal Mail but any item requiring a courier service (e.g. cricket stumps) may incur this cost. Non-Delivery / Loss in the Post

We will replace any item that is lost in the post or offer a full refund. Items sent by Royal Mail services (except Next Day Guaranteed) are subject to a 7 (first class services) or 10 (second class services) working days period before the package is considered lost by the Royal Mail. These are conditions imposed on every user of Royal Mail services and outside our control.

Colour Bleed on Multiple Coloured Grips and Toe Guards

Due to the manufacturing process, bleed on colour joins is possible and some is to be expected. In the manufacturing process, grips undergo a heating process called vulcanisation that alters the state of the rubber. As a result of the heating, bleeding of colours at colour joins is unavoidable. The degree of bleed depends on the texture of the grip with players matrix lite and dynamite quite susceptible, scale, octopus and other highly textured less so. Colour bleed is unavoidable and not considered a fault in the product.

Hints and tips on how to purchase the correct grips and to ensure successful fitting

Q? There are many similar grips on ebay cheaper than the getpaddedup grips. Why is this?

A: You might think something as simple as a cricket bat grip would be an easy item to purchase. But what might first-off appear to be the same grip but cheaper is most likely not. A high percentage of cheap artificial filler (rather than natural and synthetic rubber) are used in inferior alternatives.

Q? So how does this affect the grip?

A: Cheap, low grade grips can contain up to 50% artificial filler. The result is an inferior product, likely to be heavier, be much more abrasive (causing additional wear on batting gloves) and will rapidly harden and go brittle.

Q? How can I tell the difference?

A: Unfortunately, it is very difficult when looking at a freshly made grip, particularly when you have only an image on ebay to look at; it will only become apparent in use. Ensure you purchase from a reliable source, such as getpaddedup, who control the manufacturing of the grips.

Q? So what do I get for paying a little more at getpaddedup?

Q? How do I fit the grip to my bat?

A: With care and don't rush it! We recommend only two ways to fit your grip, either via a specific tool known as a Cricket Bat Gripping Cone (getpaddedup sell these) or by using a method involving a carrier bag (type 'fit cricket bat grip without cone' into youtube, there are numerous videos demonstrating this technique). For one-off fittings, we thoroughly recommend the "carrier bag" technique; it is much easier for inexperienced fitters and will minimize the strain placed on the grip during the fitting process. For thick grips (textures of Players Matrix Pro, Duplex, Spiral Coil, Ring, some thicker Octopus), we recommend using the carrier bag method only. Do not fit over the top of an existing grip - see below.

Q? I like a thick grip, how do I achieve this?

A: If you prefer a thick grip (thicker than the Duplex, Players Matrix Pro or Spiral Coil textures), you can use an "undergrip". The undergrip must be a grip of minimal and consistent texture - we only recommend the chevron lite texture as an undergrip. Do not attempt to fit a grip over the top of other textures. The carrier bag method will not work for fitting the top grip, a cricket bat gripping cone is needed.

Q? I'm thinking of buying a multi-coloured grip, what should I be aware of?

The majority of our products include free shipping to the UK via economy services. These are slow services used to keep the price to you as low as possible. Next Day Guaranteed

For guaranteed next day services, small items will be sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery 1PM service and large items by ParcelForce 24. 'Next Day' refers to the next day following dispatch and not following placement of order as, due to the seasonal variation of cricket sales, we can offer within one working day dispatch and not same day.
