My neighbors of 32 years were two spinster sisters that had lived in their house since the early 1920's.  When they passed away in their 90's I purchased their house and content from their estate.  Being products of the Great Depression, these ladies had never thrown away ANYTHING!  The house was a time capsule of the 20th Century.

I found this is the Souvenir 1935 World Series mini baseball bat in the attic of the house.  It is really in near like-new condition.  The bat is 18” in length. The wood finish is in excellent condition. There are no cracks.  There are the minor dings and marks in the wood that you would expect from an item laying around for 76 years. The lettering has lost just a slight amount of paint on the "E" and the "S" of the word SERIES.  The lettering is embossed into the wood.  A 1935 World Series Souvenir bat in this condition is rare.

The 1935 World Series featured the Detroit Tigers and the Chicago Cubs, with the Tigers winning in six games for their first championship in five World Series appearances. The Tigers had lost in 1907, 1908, 1909, and 1934.
