This is a replacement for the Rayovac 840, 841 & 844 batteries. Replaces Compaq 160274-001 & 160255-001 along with several models found in various Macintosh systems.  Various Compaq Prolinea, Deskpro & Proliant systems use these batteries.  If the sticker inside the system references a 4.5v alkaline battery, your system likely uses this battery.  The battery dimensions are 62x37x19mm.  This is NOT a rechargeable battery.  If your system needs a rechargeable battery, do NOT buy this battery.

Condition is "New".  The parts used for this battery pack were bought in January 2026. They will contain either Rayovac, Energizer, Panasonic or Duracell batteries inside with a strong preference towards Rayovac.  We do not use any other brand of batteries.

Starting July 1st 2024: These packs will come shipped with sticky back Velcro.  Not all systems require this.  You'll likely need this for Pentium I era Compaq systems with a depleted soldered on coin cell.

Note 1: Lithium options are available but are not compatible with all systems.  Lithium batteries have higher voltage output versus the alkaline.  Some systems may fail to post with lithium packs.  If you opt for this, you assume all risks associated with using lithium batteries.  If you want this option, please message me and I will put a new listing up for it.  For lithium packs, we either use Energizer Ultimate Lithium or EBL Lithium batteries.  We do not use any other brands.  These are also NOT rechargeable.

Note 2: The packs are also now polarized.  You may get a pack with an on/off switch.  It depends on what I can get.  They'll function the same regardless.

What you see is what you get.  You will receive a new ready to use battery pack.  Please make sure these are compatible with your system before purchasing.

Order processing: Orders will generally be processed the next business day, but it could take up to two business days before an order is shipped.  This excludes holidays or any days USPS is closed.  I do work a full time position in addition to supporting this battery business.  There is a possibility your order will go out same business day if it received before 7 AM CST.  I do ship on Saturdays as well as time permits.  

Shipping notes: Orders are either shipped through the post office locations in either Shawano, WI or Green Bay, WI locations.  I had a customer question this in the past, so I'm including this note.  

I absolutely don't like USPS.  Can I ship with UPS?  Yes you can!  If you want to ship with UPS, please select that option.  These will almost always be shipped out of Green Bay, WI on the next business day.  I however cannot offer overnight shipping at this time.  UPS is only available for the United States.
