Handpainted eggs have been exchanged as gifts and treasured as heirlooms in a tradition begun hundreds of years ago in the Ukraine. The custom flourished throughout Europe and Russia culminating in the exquisitely jeweled eggs created by Carl Fabergé for the Imperial Russian Court.

Fenton continues the tradition with beautifully detailed eggs. Your egg was born of an exclusive glass formula melted over roaring flames. A skilled craftsman carefully draws just enough molten glass to fill the egg shaped mould. He then presses it to a a solid form, trapping its fiery brilliance forever.

Each egg becomes an individual work of art as the artist covers its glassy surface with finely detailed strokes. The artist signs the egg and records its registration number on the bottom of the piece, it is then fired for permanence.

The attached stand has been plated in 22K gold to enhance the rich beauty of your collector egg.
