PLEASE READ BELOW CAREFULLY
This will fit your Honda GB500 TT or GB400 or XBR500 motorcycle if you have a tank stub with M20 x 1.0 Metric threads.
BUT YOU MUST CHECK YOUR THREAD SIZE BEFORE BUYING THIS.
Also measure the inside diameter of the tank stub as Honda used some pipe fittings with a thicker wall thickness stub on some tanks.
If you have a threaded tank stub measuring 12mm inside then you can use this tap but YOU WILL NEED TO REMOVE ONE OF THE BRASS TUBES. (they can be pulled out with pliers and remove the reserve shorter tube.)
The width of the tubes on this tap is 14mm as can be seen in the pictures
We do have other types of tap available to fit any type of tank used on these bikes.
The pictures show it fitted to a 1981/1982 USA version Honda 750/4 imported bike with the same thread rate.
This is a brand new reproduced fuel tap and it has the following settings... ON, OFF and RESERVE.
This has been produced for the German market and so is labelled as
R - Reservieren = Reserve
Zu = Closed / Shut /Off
A - Auf = On
Note that our tap has the fuel feed on the bottom which is different to the originals but the fuel pipe fits nicely under the carburettors
The casting of our taps is superb and they are all checked for smooth operation before dispatch. These are very nice taps 😊

We check each tap before dispatch for any casting errors and tightness of the tap.
To date, we have had no returns or issues with my supplier and manufacturer.
Fitting this will eradicate all the usual problems of old taps not working and fuel not flowing or leaking taps.

These taps are very well made with very good casting material and tolerances, they are not made from 'monkey metal' like lots of other cheap taps are. I've bought them!... and binned them!
This will be a direct fit on your bike.
Connection to fuel line: 7mm internal diameter pipe.
We sell very good quality E5 and E10 compliant green tinted heavy wall thickness petrol pipe to suit this tap. See our other listings.
Connection to fuel tank : 20mm x 1.0mm metric fine thread
Taps are obviously supplied with a seal and a fibre washer too.
We recommend that you fit a large inline filter too as these taps do not have filter bowls or mesh filters on the tank tubes. We do sell those separately though if preferred.
There is a mesh screen filter inside the bottom fitting / bowl and you should clean this as part of your annual servicing 😊
