Founded in 1913 as the National Federation of Temple Sisterhoods and renamed Women of Reform Judaism (WRJ; women’s affiliate of the Union for Reform Judaism) in 1993 to emphasize the centrality of women within the Reform movement, the WRJ has for more than a century galvanized hundreds of thousands of women to support and advance Reform Judaism, the Jewish people, and Jewish values in their home communities, around the country, and around the world.  WRJ (formerly NFTS) advocates for social justice, raises funds for charities and rabbinic scholarships, and educates congregational leaders.
