This auction is for one (1) 1953 (1948) A & J Donaldson Ltd. - Sports Favourites, card no. 299 Jack Dempsey, Type 10 (This card was only issued with the Type 10 back variation). This set was issued in 1948 but the PSA data specs department has incorrectly recorded it as 1953 so they label all the cards from it with the wrong year (1953 instead of 1948). This card has been professionally graded by PSA as Good 2 on their 10-point grading scale. The card has a clean/straight 2 with no qualifiers. PSA is a reputable, leading professional card grading company, so the card's authenticity is guaranteed. Low PSA graded population, this is the only one of this card that has been graded Good 2 at the original time of this listing, with none graded higher. All of the cards from this set are almost always graded either Authentic, 1Q, or 1, because they were distributed stapled, and it is extremely difficult to find one that PSA finds worthy of grading 1.5 or higher. The card pictured is the actual one up for auction. It is stored in a smoke-free and pet-free household. Sold as is.
